# Switch Languages

Use klarvoice in 40+ languages — automatically detected.

## Supported Languages

klarvoice supports over 40 languages, including:

- **European:** English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek
- **Asian:** Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian
- **Others:** Arabic, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew

## Automatic Language Detection

In the default mode, klarvoice automatically detects the spoken language — no switching required. The detection analyzes the first seconds of your recording and selects the matching language.

- Works best with **complete sentences** (at least 3–4 words).
- Single words or very short phrases may occasionally be misidentified.
- Detection accuracy improves with recording length.

## Setting a Fixed Language

If you always dictate in the same language, you can disable automatic detection:

1. Open **Settings → Language**.
2. Select your preferred language from the list.
3. Disable **Automatic Detection**.

This slightly speeds up transcription since the detection step is skipped.

## Multilingual Dictation

You can even switch languages mid-sentence — for example from English to German. klarvoice detects the switch and transcribes each segment in the correct language.

> **Tip:** For best results with language switches, use the **Precision model**. It's especially good at recognizing code-switching and foreign words within a sentence.
